Where and How

NWSA operates its fleet from Darwin, Australia. We fish from longitude 120° east to the Northern Territory / Queensland border in the Gulf of Carpentaria out to the limit of the Australian Fishing Zone.

This is Australia's seafood frontier.

We fish by trap. In this way we have minimal impact on the environment and virtually no by catch. Engagement with threatened, endangered or protected species is almost unheard of.

We operate in the Northern Demersal Scalefish Fishery in Western Australian waters, the Timor Reef Fishery in Northern Territory waters and the Demersal Fishery in Northern Territory waters.

All three fisheries are government managed under quota and input controls to ensure fish stocks are preserved and remain healthy.
